The mission of the Digital Orchestra League is:
Collect and disseminate ideas, research results, connections and other information that contributes to advancing the digital orchestra as a vital and expressive musical medium. And demonstrate this through the support and development of concerts, recordings, commissions, courses, learning materials, contact networks and publications.
The Digital Orchestra League is a global, non-profit, non-competitive organization that embraces people and organizations spanning commercial, academic, artistic and scientific domains. The league convenes an annual conference to serve as a clearinghouse for ideas, techniques, and new directions, for league members and the public.
The league is a membership organization open to any and all who use, develop or are simply interested in digital orchestra technology. Through its website the Digital Orchestra League connects composers, performers, developers, and researchers. It also provides a listing of research publications and concert news and events pertaining to digital orchestral music.
